You might be aware that the partnership of Regenerate North Walsham and North Walsham Town Council have been seeking to take ownership of the public areas of St Nicholas Court, (currently held by Crown Estates in the absence of a formal owner).
After a long wait it looks as though we will be able to complete this process by the end of the year.
Our first task will be some ‘first aid’ on the dangerous parts of the surfacing. In the longer term the idea is to improve the areas to make them more inviting to the public and allow them to be used for occasional entertainments, the extension of the Thursday market and perhaps many other things too, as well of course encouraging footfall to shops and businesses.
We have reached out to the landlords and tenants around the area, but welcome anyone with an interest in St Nicholas Court to a meeting to discuss this and understand your ideas and thoughts.
The meetings will be held in two sessions on Friday 10th November at Café Kitale, starting at 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm; we do hope that you can join us.
